Research
Agri-Food Analytics Lab (AAL) research focuses on how global trends affect food processing, distribution and retail sales for Canadian Agrifood businesses including food service.
AAL research is enabling the agri-food industry to better meet demand, and reduce costs and waste in an environmentally responsible and sustainable manner – right across the food life cycle. AAL research does this by improving the agri-food industry’s understanding of:
- consumer tastes by location
 - customer experiences and services
 - marketing
 - supply chain and logistics
 - quality and safety tracking
 - price and market analysis
 - optimized production, sourcing and inventory utilizing demand forecasting algorithms (such as ‘regression’).
