Dalhousie partners with Fujian Agriculture and Forestry University in China to offer joint agriculture and landscape architecture degree programs.
Fujian Agriculture and Forestry University (FAFU)
The Fujian Agriculture and Forestry University (FAFU) is one of the three high-level provincial universities in Fujian Province. FAFU was established based on the Agriculture Department of Concord College in 1936 and the Provincial Agricultural Institute in 1940. FAFU and Dalhousie's Faculty of Agriculture (formerly the Nova Scotia Agricultural College-NSAC) have a long-standing relationship of academic cooperation and collaboration initially reflected by an academic agreement commenced on July 26, 2002. Dalhousie and FAFU have built on this history of academic cooperation by collaborating in the delivery of two programs.
The present academic and research collaborations between the partners developed out of a Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA) funded project. At the beginning, the Canadian partner was the Nova Scotia Agricultural College (NSAC). With the September 2012 merger of NSAC with 91̽»¨Æ½Ì¨, the partnership now benefits from the larger 91̽»¨Æ½Ì¨.
